Description
Graphing with Linear Equations:
Looking for an easy ways for students to be graphing with linear equations? Miss Kuiper’s Classroom has you covered with this differentiable activity where students match linear equations with its corresponding graph. This is a great activity to help with slope and y-intercept recognition in equations and graphs.
You will receive:
- Common Core Standards
- Directions for Teacher and Student
- 2 Digital Versions to allow for differentiation
- Answer Key
Version 1 contains 12 graphs and 12 answers to allow process of elimination.
Version 2 contains 12 graphs and 18 equations so students will have to use a deeper level of thinking to match them.
When my students are learning about linear equations and how to determine it from a graph, this activity is always a hit! My students get to match a linear equation to it’s corresponding graph. And some of my students have gotten really good at it! So I upped the game. I created a second version with more equations than graphs. Now they have to dig deeper to decide the pairing.
Now whether students need that extra support where there are the same number of graphs and equations or they can dive deeper, I’ve got them covered.

This resource is great practice with linear equations. It worked well for my students during this time of distance learning! the matching element of this made it easier for students and more engaging, but there are enough practice problems that they still had to do the work and figure out the correct answer.

This is an engaging and helpful resource. I loved that it has the flexibility to be differentiated easily because you offer two versions! Thank you!
