✨How This Set Works✨

Within the 6 geometric translations worksheets, there are 2 sections:

  • Translation of a Point
  • Translation of a Shape

Each worksheet serves a unique purpose.

  1. Worksheet 1 & 4 do not use algebraic notation. This is perfect for students working below grade-level or students who are not strong with coordinates yet.
  2. Worksheet 2 & 5 are split between non-algebraic notation and algebraic notation. This eases students in to seeing how the notation relates to the translation.
  3. Worksheet 3 & 6 elevate and extend the thinking using deeper thinking questions.

How can you use this?

  • Full Translations Unit
  • Flipped classroom activity
  • Math centers or stations
  • Homeschool unit for translations

“Thanks for saving me a lot of work! Your resources are well received by my students and are engaging.” – Michele B.

“Thank you so much for this resource. It has been a great addition to my classroom curriculum. A lot of my students have been struggling with geometry, but this is helping!” – Maggie W.

“The curriculum that my school chose to use taught transformations at such a high level to begin with. This resource allowed me to make the basic connections of translations, dilation, rotations, and reflections before getting into such intense work. The students were very grateful for a resource that took them through step by step.” -Shantell P.
