Formula for Pythagorean Theorem

Using Templates in Math Class

Templates are a fabulous way to help your students with the formula for Pythagorean Theorem. These templates are perfect for when you are just beginning to teach the Pythagorean Theorem or as a accommodation for students on IEPs.

I first came up for the idea of using a template when one of my students kept multiplying the side lengths by 2 instead of squaring them. I know this shows a misunderstanding of exponents, but I went on to create the first Formula for Pythagorean Theorem Guide!

It came from the strategy I use called “Fill in the Blank” problems which I talk about here. Why not create a “Fill in the Blank” problem that helps students no matter what the problem is! Save trees and save time! Woohoo!

Being super excited about this idea, I shared it on Instagram and TikTok! One of the comments talked about how unrealistic it was for newer teachers to sit down and create this for every lesson or concept!

That seems like a big task! Which is why I am making it my goal to make them for you. At a small cost, you can download these templates for yourself! You can purchase them by concept, individually, or all of them at once!
